The 6th European Bois noir workshop will highlight the latest advances in research on Bois noir, the most widespread phytoplasma disease of grapevine in Europe.The workshop will be extended by one day conference dedicated to the Prophylactic and Agro-Ecological Control of flavescence dorée and other Grapevine Yellows (Pro-AECOGY).
This workshop/conference is open to academics of all relevant disciplines as well as participants from grapevine and wine sector, governmental agencies, organizations in charge of surveillance and management of grapevine yellows.
The Bois noir workshop and Pro-AECOGY conference will take place in Bordeaux city at the Hotel Mercure Bordeaux Château Chartrons, 81 cours Saint Louis on May the 14th- 16th , 2024.
Bois noir workshop sessions will be dedicated to:
- Epidemiology of Bois noir
- Biology and ecology of insect vectors
- Genomics, diversity and virulence of grapevine phytoplasma strains
- Interaction of grapevine phytoplasmas with insect and plants
- Other plant diseases associated to “Ca. P. solani"
- Round table on Bois noir
Communications related to Bois noir control will be part of the Pro-AECOGY conference.
Pro-AECOGY sessions will be dedicated to:
- Epidemiology of Flavescence dorée
- Surveillance and diagnosis of grapevine yellows
- Innovative control and sustainable management of grapevine yellows
- Breeding grapevine for resistance traits to phytoplasma and insect vectors
